This beautiful handmade fine Tabriz rug had not been professionally cleaned for several years and had accumulated a significant amount of embedded dust, dirt and general soiling within the fibres. Due to the delicate nature of the rug, we carried out a specialist cleaning process, beginning with thorough rug dusting to remove deeply trapped dry soil. The rug was then given a full-immersion wash, carefully cleaning both the pile and foundation while taking extra care to preserve its delicate fibres, colours and intricate Persian design. Once thoroughly rinsed and dried, the rug was left looking noticeably cleaner, brighter and refreshed, bringing back much of the detail and character that had been hidden beneath years of accumulated dirt.
